Soon To Be Parents

by Rhoy Pamparo on Mar.30, 2005, under Personal Thoughts

Today, the doctor confirmed that me & my wife are going to have a baby.

So how do I feel? Well a lot of things. Excitement, fear, joy, etc. But there is one thing I cannot hide. I feel very blessed by God! We have been praying about this and now here it is. I have known a lot of people who are trying to conceive a baby but could not for the longest time. And here we are, exactly 5-months married today, finding out that we will soon be parents.

I don’t really know what kind of a father I will be. What type of parents me & my wife would be. Or what kind of family we will have. One thing is for sure … “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!”

Please continue to uphold us in your prayers, especially for my wife Christina. Pray that this will be an enjoyable journey for us, as we step into another stage of our lives …

God Bless.

Bohnanza

by Rhoy Pamparo on Mar.21, 2005, under Personal Thoughts

After a long while, I finally had a chance to play Bohnanza again. I actually came up with my own title for this game:

Bohanza: Bean There, Plant That

Ok, that sounded too corny. Not the game itself though. It is a light strategy game but comes with a whole lot o’fun! Basically, you ought to plant beans & sell them for a price. Of course, it depends on the type of beans you plant for it to yield plenty of coins.

So we did play last Friday night at Ptr. Mike’s & my sister-in-law’s , place. It was a tough round at first because we are still trying to remember the proper rules & most of the people around the table had not played it before. After a while, the flow of the game got better and everyone is trying to collect their beans to sell. In the end, it was Jackie who collected the most coins with 12 followed closely by her fiance Anthony & Ptr. Mike with 10. I checked-in with 9 coins.

We played another round and it so much better as everyone had their own strategies in mind. At the end of the round, yours truly, checked in 1 coin shy of tying my wife. She had 10 coins …

Overall, it was a fun night … not until I left Ptr. Mike watching “Sniper” by himself, all the while talking to me while I was already sleeping! Now that is so much funnier!

My Own Templates?

by Rhoy Pamparo on Mar.16, 2005, under Personal Thoughts

Wowowieee! I just wrote my own templates …

for Gallery, which you can download here.
and also,
for WordPress, which you can download here.

It’s a bit more challenging to play with Gallery as supposed to WordPress, which is a breeze to customize. It is also much easier to integrate WordPress into an existin site.

Anyways, that is just me.

If you want to know more about what I did, send me a quick email at blogger@odnalor.org

Have fun with your own … I sure did!

Million Dollar Question?

by Rhoy Pamparo on Mar.15, 2005, under Personal Thoughts

Where will you spend your eternity?

This is a very simple question, yet for some, a very hard one to answer. It does not have to be. If you ask me now, I can tell you in a heartbeat. in Heaven. Pretentious? I don’t think so. You see, the Bible had given the answer to me and a whole lot of people:

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Plain & simple. All you have to do is believe in Jesus. Because God is a God of love, he graciously gave us His Son, who died on the cross to redeem us all from our sins and had risen again to conquer death once and for all.

Now it is up to you. Where will you spend your eternity? That’s the million dollar question …
