Faith

by Rhoy Pamparo on Jul.28, 2008, under Little Poetic

Yet another unfinished work! I started writing this poem/song while I was in the subway on the way home. In faith, I know that extra lines that I need will come. But for now, here’s what I have …

As water gushes under this broken bridge
I began to wonder how I’ll make it through
Then I hear you whisper into my ear
Put your faith in me my son, I’ll walk with you

… more lines here … (i guess no extra lines for now)

Quiet Down My Busy Mind

by Rhoy Pamparo on Jul.18, 2008, under Personal Thoughts

I’ve been very busy lately with different things and have not been paying attention to the thing that is of utmost importance. That is my personal relationship with God. But today, while in transit coming from work, I was reminded by a song that I’ve not heard for a very long time: “Unashamed Love” by Ten Shekel Shirt.

You’re calling me to lay aside the worries of my day
To quiet down my busy mind and find a hiding place

I could not help myself but pause as the tears start to build up in my eyes. I didn’t know how to react until it hit me. Even if I have neglected God, He did not forget about me. And through this song, He spoke to me and quite down my spirit.

How about you? Have you been busy lately, too?

Why not go to a hiding place and commune with our ever-loving God …

Anatomy of a Song

by Rhoy Pamparo on Jul.07, 2008, under Melodic Insights

GB ViewI am in the process of writing a new song but it is still in its very early inception. An I would like to stress that it is in the very early stage. The samples that you will hear here are very rough and a little sloppy. The sound may not sound the same on the final version. But I thought it would be fun to keep track of this. I do not know when will I complete it but I already have some things in mind. Here are some MP3 sample of the song without lyrics (yet) :)

May 21, 2008: Anatomy

July 06, 2008: Anatomy v1

These were recorded via GarageBand using Les Paul Studio, Fender Mustang Bass & Takamine Acoustic.
