D Dorian Jam
by Rhoy Pamparo on Oct.06, 2008, under Melodic Insights
Here’s another track that I recorded that you can jam along. I got the inspiration from a D Dorian lick that I was playing while watching football last Sunday. I played 3 tracks, 2 electric guitar rhythm parts and the bass line. Nothing too fancy
I have left a lot of space for another lead instrument such as a guitar or keyboards to add some melodic lines.
Let me know if you can come up with something tasty! Have fun & God bless!

November 17th, 2008 on 1:38 am[...] Pamparo in Toronto–Rhoy’s blog is killer. He’s this really humble guy who ends up writing fantastic Biblical dissertations, and laying down some really sweet guitar tracks. He’s got great tone, great gear, and one of the nicest guys I’ve had the pleasure of talking with. Here’s some sweet tone: http://odnalor.org/wp/2008/10/06/d-dorian-jam.html [...]

Impressive- I like it more than your previous post. I think this could swing reggae again, but more than that, try some fusion jazz riffs. A few jazzy riffs with a solid overdrive that slowly gets harder would go great over this. We’ll see what we can come up with shall we?
Bravo!

Thanks man! It’s actually a Latin drum beat from garageband. I need new drum loops for a different feel/inspiration, I supposed
have fun with it & let me know how it turns out. i will try to cook up something for it as well. i might try to add a little bit of jazzy and/or bluesy type of riffs. thanks for the heads up!
