i usually run my drives independently but every once in a while i would stack depending on the songs. it was much easier to do when i had a Sparkle Drive with very low gain settings. i will stack the Zen with Twin Tube’s lower gain channel every once in while but it’s just hard to predict the sound/volume.

i have gotten away with using drives only (maybe a little bit of tremolo) for months without any delay (gasp!).

i was very happy with the Zen on this mix. The Twin Tube did sound a bit out of place but it really sat well in the mix. Amazing how sometimes a tone sounds bland by itself but really fits well in a mix!

The 1/2 Gainer doesn’t stack. Each channel is independent of each other. It’s not one of those cascading circuits. I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to use this. Most probably, I’ll set it up with similar gain with 1 slightly louder so it sounds like it just got boosted. it does share the same tone stack though.

How does the 1/2 gain sound when you stack it on itself/run both channels?
