iPod Touch 4G

After 4+ years of using a 60GB iPod Video, I finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and purchased a new 32GB 4th Gen iPod Touch. I have it for about a week now and I am just loving it! The only way I can describe it is this: iPod meets PDA meets PSP. It’s not quite an iPhone, but it gets close …

What I really like:
- tons of applications (free & paid)
- user interface … classy & well-thought off
- screen resolution … awesome, awesome!
- FaceTime … this is great for doing a video-conf
- video & cam … although this is not it’s strength, it’s a great addition
What I don’t like:
- music player control … since it’s a touch-screen, can’t control when its in the pocket
- Wi-Fi control … why can’t they make an icon for the Wi-Fi setting to switch/check connections!
- headphone … cheap headphone for a $300 device and it doesn’t even have the controls!
- it’s addicting! … well it’s more of a like and dislike
What I wish it had:
- option for graffiti-style text input ala PalmOS
- physical controls on the side for music (play/pause, next and prev)
- more touch-enabled gestures … it’s an iPod Touch for crying out loud!
Overall, it’s still a great device and does what it is advertised to do with flying colors. Let’s just say that my daily commute is way better nowadays
