My Top 5 iOS Apps

by on Sep.27, 2010, under Personal Thoughts

As I have mentioned on my previous post, one of the many things I like about the new iPod Touch is the vast amount of applications available for download. So far, these are the applications that I like very much …

1. Angry Birds ($0.99)

It’s simple and very addicting gameplay. Here’s the synopsis, pop the pigs by catapulting the birds using a slingshot … that’s it! This is probably the best $0.99 I’ve ever spent in the past decade :)

2. Olive Tree Bible Reader [NIV] ($9)

One of the better Bible reader out there. I love the interface and it’s very easy to highlight verses, take some notes and also has a reading plan. All I have to do is start following it!

3. ListPro (Free)

From a grocery list, to-do, or just a plain old list, this will do it for you. No frills with a very neat interface. There are tons of template to choose from and a lot of editable fields to customize for my needs. And it is absolutely free!

4. GoodReader ($0.99)

So far, the best PDF reader I’ve used. The plus side is that it can also read a ton of different formats. An option to upload/download files via USB or Wi-Fi seals the deal. Definitely worth the price of admission!

5. VehiCal (Free)

This is a great app to keep track of gas fills & consumption, trip mileage and maintenance records. For the price, this is simply unbeatable … oh, and did I say it’s free ;)

Other apps that almost made the list: Facebook, Skype, Dilbert, Metro, Carcassonne, Virtuoso Pro and Converter+ …

Have fun tapping!
