Song for my Baby
by Rhoy Pamparo on Dec.24, 2009, under Melodic Insights
I got a my early Christmas gift in the first week of December. It’s the great news that I am going to be a father to a baby again. It just, oh so, inspired me to write this simple song … Still working on the melody, though
Enjoy! And, Merry Christmas to you all …
My Precious Child
by: Rhoy Pamparo
Verse 1
I cannot yet hear
The sound of your heart beating
I know you are there
In the womb slowly growing
Verse 2
Few months from now
A few more days of longing
You will come out
My arms are gently waiting
Chorus
And I will praise the Lord
As I praise Him right now
And I will thank him for
The blessings of love
There inside a mother’s womb
A gift from God came to be
Little child, my precious child
Verse 3
I know you can hear
The voice of Daddy longing
For you to be born
So I can lift you up to Him
Bridge
It’s amazing how
How God puts his trust
Precious little ones
In the hands of mere humans
It’s a day of pain
It’s a day of birth
Fragile little one
From God the Father to us
Melancholic A Mixolydian Vamp (Original Composition)
by Rhoy Pamparo on Jul.22, 2009, under Melodic Insights
Just wanted to share what I was playing last night. Pardon the sloppiness, this was recorded at midnight so that I won’t forget it. So here’s the beginning of a song that I think can go places once the mood strikes again
Here’s the MP3: Melancholic A Mixolydian Vamp
It’s a simple A-A/C#-D-G progression. Somehow, I wanted to make it sound “happier”. But every time I try, it always go back to a melancholic progression. Enjoy!
Faith
by Rhoy Pamparo on Jul.28, 2008, under Little Poetic
Yet another unfinished work! I started writing this poem/song while I was in the subway on the way home. In faith, I know that extra lines that I need will come. But for now, here’s what I have …
As water gushes under this broken bridge
I began to wonder how I’ll make it through
Then I hear you whisper into my ear
Put your faith in me my son, I’ll walk with you
… more lines here … (i guess no extra lines for now)
